How Community Works Started

Community Works was founded on a simple observation: most skilled tradespeople are exceptional at their craft but struggle with the business side — marketing, quoting, invoicing, following up, managing their reputation. The result is that Vermont homeowners often can’t find reliable contractors, and great tradespeople often can’t find consistent work. We built Community Works to solve both problems.

We function as the centralized business infrastructure for a network of vetted, experienced tradespeople. We handle lead generation, estimating, scheduling, client communication, invoicing, and quality assurance — so our painters and carpenters can focus entirely on doing excellent work. This is why we call ourselves craft-first. When a tradesperson doesn’t have to worry about where their next job is coming from or whether a client has paid their invoice, they can put all their attention where it belongs: on the work in front of them.

We’re based in Vermont, we serve Vermont communities, and we hire local tradespeople who know Vermont homes, Vermont weather, and Vermont homeowners. Every crew member is background-checked, every project comes with references, and every estimate is transparent.
